This interview, attached, is recorded from Arnie Arnesen's great new radio station, WNHN 94.7 in Concord and on line at the Link. They both bring their unbridled sensibilities to describing the voucher proposal as, basically, a scam.
The file is attached below. You'll need to download it to play it. Here's how the conversation starts:
Arnie: I'm confused....It's a bill that's talking about scholarships. It's a bill that's talking about corporations. And somehow it's the idea that corporations somehow have a "credit" if they give money to a scholarship fund and then the scholarship fund is set up to give money so that kids in public schools could be home schooled...could go to a private school...could go to a parochial school...and I'm thinkin'...this is a "scholarship" or is this a "voucher"?
Lou (1:20): It is a voucher issue. It's a camouflage of a voucher plan. I don't think there's any question about that. And the idea that you would give a tax credit to a business for giving money to an entity and that entity then gives a scholarship to a student going...any place, to be honest with you...
